Career Cruising Workshop

This workshop has been designed with one goal in mind: to help students plan their future. Career Cruising is an interactive career resource designed for people of all ages. If you want to find the right career, explore different career options, or plan future education and training, you are in the right place. With exceptional assessment tools, detailed occupation profiles, and comprehensive post-secondary education information, students move seamlessly through the career exploration and planning process. At the same time, students have access to the real-time information and statistics they need to track their favorite career and the education required to obtain it.

How to use Career Cruiser:
  1. Go to http://www.careercruising.com/
  2. Enter username: northsalem
  3. Enter password: tiger
  4. On the tabs on the top of the screen press “Portfolio”
  5. Create a new portfolio
  6. Click on “new portfolio’
  7. Enter all your information. You do not have to enter an e-mail address.
  8. Follow the directions on the screen to create a portfolio where all your information would be saved.
  9. Click on the “matchmaker” tab on the top.
  10. Enter your first and last name
  11. Click on “start a new career matchmaker session”
  12. Answer the 39 questions as best as you can.
  13. After answering all the questions the Career Cruising software will list 40 possible careers for you.
